Join one of Australia's fastest-growing non-bank lenders. At First Federal, we're building something different. We've combined experienced credit professionals, common-sense decision making and market-leading service to create a lending business that brokers genuinely enjoy working with. As we continue to grow, we're looking for experienced Credit Analysts to play a key role in shaping credit outcomes and helping drive the next stage of our success. This is an opportunity for a high-performing credit professional who enjoys making deals happen, thrives in a commercial environment, and wants a genuine seat at the table rather than being another cog in a large corporate machine.

Why First Federal? We know great people have choices, so we've built a workplace designed to attract and retain exceptional talent. Benefits include:

  • 5 weeks annual leave every year including Freedom Days for greater flexibility
  • Extremely competitive remuneration package with annual and quarterly bonuses
  • Access to senior leadership and direct influence on business outcomes
  • Fast-growing company with genuine career progression opportunities
  • High-trust, low-bureaucracy culture
  • Opportunity to help shape policy, products and processes
  • Modern technology and continual investment in systems and automation

About the Role You will be responsible for assessing and approving residential and commercial loan applications, providing credit guidance to brokers and BDMs, and contributing to First Federal's reputation for fast, commercially sound credit decisions. You'll work across a broad range of transactions including:

  • Self-employed borrowers
  • Alt-doc and specialist lending
  • Commercial property transactions
  • Complex credit scenarios that require judgement and experience

What We're Looking For We're seeking people who:

  • Have credit assessment experience and have held a lending delegation
  • Bring strong commercial acumen and risk management capability
  • Can balance policy, risk and customer outcomes
  • Enjoy solving complex lending scenarios
  • Communicate confidently with brokers and internal stakeholders
  • Have experience in non-bank, specialist or commercial lending
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

Why This Role Is Different Many lenders talk about empowerment. At First Federal, you'll actually have it. We value experience, judgement and common sense. Our goal isn't to create more process for the sake of process. It's to find ways to say 'yes' responsibly, deliver exceptional service to brokers, and provide real opportunities for talented people to grow with the business.
