We've got an exciting opportunity at Logan that's perfect for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working with stakeholders, and helping keep communities safe and healthy. The Opportunity Position: Environmental Health Officer
Location: Logan Pay Rate: $36.00 - $48.03/hr + Super Contract: 2 November 2026 - 30 April 2027
Potential Extension Available. Hours: Monday to Friday.
You’ll Be Doing
- Researching and assessing risks associated with environmental health licensing, practices, equipment, and services.
- Providing expert advice on environmental health and safety matters.
- Working with a range of stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes through effective communication and negotiation.
- Using your judgement and expertise to navigate situations where procedures and guidelines may not be clearly defined.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong knowledge of environmental health principles and risk assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and build positive relationships.
Important Requirements
- Successful candidates must be willing to become fully vaccinated through Council's funded vaccination program (at no cost to you).
- Candidates must provide their own steel-capped safety boots.
