The role involves taking ownership of customised research projects and becoming a trusted partner to clients. Responsibilities include:
- Leading client briefings and translating business questions into effective research approaches
- Playing a key role in proposals, study design and reporting plans
- Managing research projects from design and fieldwork through analysis, reporting and presentation
- Developing questionnaires, discussion guides and other research instruments
- Analysing data using Q and SPSS, applying critical thinking to challenge assumptions and identify the findings that matter most
- Producing persuasive reports and presentations with clear, actionable recommendations
- Building strong relationships with clients and suppliers, and identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to Fifth Quadrant’s thought leadership
- Using AI tools thoughtfully across the research process to improve productivity, strengthen analysis and create better client outcomes
About you: You have at least three years of market research agency experience and are ready to take greater ownership of projects and client relationships. You combine strong research fundamentals, critical thinking and commercial curiosity with the confidence to explain what the evidence means for a client’s decisions. You’ll bring experience with Q and/or SPSS, sound project management skills, strong numeracy and attention to detail, and excellent PowerPoint and visual storytelling skills. Clear, compelling written English is essential: you’ll write reports, recommendations and thought leadership content. You’re also interested in how AI is changing research. You’re keen to test useful tools, apply sound judgement to their outputs and help develop better ways of working.
