Fettlers Hall is opening this November, and we're building a great team to bring this iconic venue to life. Located on the park in the centre of Elsternwick, Fettlers Hall is a unique venue with an exciting new chapter ahead. We're looking for passionate hospitality people to join us, from experienced bar leaders to enthusiastic bartenders and bar staff who love creating great experiences. Whether you're ready to lead a bar team, have proven bar experience or looking to be part of an exciting new opening, this is an opportunity to help shape the atmosphere, culture and success of a special local venue from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Delivering friendly, genuine and professional service to every guest
- Preparing and serving beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and other beverages
- Keeping the bar clean, organised, well stocked and running smoothly
- Working collaboratively with the bar, floor and management teams
- Maintaining high standards of service, presentation and responsible alcohol service
- Supporting stock control, ordering, wastage management and efficient bar operations
- Helping create a positive, supportive team culture
- For leadership roles, overseeing daily operations, managing rosters and costs, training staff and setting the standards for the bar
- Playing an important role in pre-opening preparations and establishing the venue's culture from the beginning
About you
- A genuine passion for hospitality and making people feel welcome
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to get involved
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Previous bar or hospitality experience; management experience for the Bar Manager position
- Someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and takes pride in what they do
- Reliability, initiative and the ability to work in a fast-paced venue
- Current Victorian RSA certification and an understanding of responsible service requirements
