Fetch are partnering with a sewer contractor delivering works on a subdivision project in Geelong. We’re looking for reliable, experienced civil operators who can join the crew immediately and support ongoing sewer installation and associated earthworks.
What you’ll be doing
- Operating excavators and other civil plant across sewer and subdivision works
- Excavating trenches and assisting with sewer pipe installation
- Working safely around existing underground services
- Placing bedding material, backfilling and supporting compaction works
- Working closely with pipelayers and ground crews to achieve required levels and grades
- General earthworks and site support as required
Must have:
- Proven civil operating experience, ideally on sewer, drainage or subdivision projects
- Confidence with trench excavation and working around underground services
- Ability to work safely and communicate clearly with ground crews
- Reliable attendance and availability for an immediate start
- Relevant plant tickets/competencies and a Construction White Card
- Ability to pass onsite breath testing and drug and alcohol testing when required
Ideal candidate (not essential):
- Previous sewer reticulation or subdivision experience
- Experience working with trench shields or shoring systems
- Ability to work to laser levels and specified grades
- Experience supporting pipelaying crews
