What is the role?
We are seeking an experienced full time Kitchen Hand to support our busy kitchen operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen.
Actions cleaning duties within the kitchen, food preparation areas and scullery
Operates dishwashing machine as per instruction manual
General pantry duties and maintain cleanliness of pantry, fridges and freezers
Assist in the preparation of food as directed by the Head Chef or Sous Chef
Ensure all kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health & Hygiene regulations.
Ensure each outlet is supplied with sanitised clean and dry operational equipment.
Ensure correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturer's instructions.
Ensure garbage is collected and disposed of correctly from all kitchen areas each shift.
What is needed to be successful in this role?
Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand in a busy hospitality venue
Strong understanding of kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
Desire to start a career in the Kitchen
Able to work a rotating roster across Monday to Sunday including weekends, nights and public holidays
Must reside and hold a valid working visa in Australia - no sponsorship available
