Farr Better Joinery Pty Ltd is seeking a Cabinetmaker / Joinery Installer for a full-time position in Woolgoolga, Coffs Coast NSW. The role offers a salary of $81,016 per year ($41 per hour) plus superannuation, with a 38-hour work week and additional overtime pay.
About the role: You will work closely with the owner and our small team, taking projects from drawings through manufacturing, assembly, and installation. This hands-on role combines workshop work and on-site installation across custom kitchens, laundries, wardrobes, vanities, and commercial joinery. We are looking for a capable cabinetmaker who produces quality work, thinks ahead, and takes responsibility without needing constant supervision.
Key responsibilities:
- Read and interpret joinery drawings accurately.
- Manufacture and assemble cabinets, fitting doors, drawers, and hardware.
- Install joinery with accurate levelling, scribing, and finishing.
- Plan your work, check measurements, and identify issues before they become costly mistakes.
- Work independently and solve practical problems.
- Help guide our apprentice and set a strong example.
- Maintain a clean, organised workshop and safe work practices.
- Treat clients’ homes, tools, vehicles, and materials with care.
About you:
- A trade qualification in cabinetmaking or equivalent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience manufacturing and installing custom joinery.
- The ability to complete work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the finished product.
- A current driver’s licence.
- Clear communication and a professional manner with clients and teammates.
- A desire for long-term employment and the opportunity to take on greater responsibility.
- Willingness and availability to work reasonable paid overtime when required to meet project deadlines.
