Fairfield City Council's City Delivery, Parks and Open Space department is seeking dedicated and hardworking
Plant Operators x2 to join our Open Space Branch.
Thisrole involves using mowers, tractors, and weed spraying equipment to assist inthe maintenance and upkeep of Council's parks, gardens, and open spaces.
Weare looking for a physically fit and safety-conscious operator who takes pridein their work and is committed to delivering high-quality service.
Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and care of plant and equipment, ensuring all tasks are carried out to thehighest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Asa key member of our team, you will contribute to the ongoing maintenance andenhancement of Fairfield's open spaces, providing essential services to thecommunity.

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will need
- Current Class 1A driver's licence
- Knowledge and practical application of WHS principles and Work Health and Safety legislation.
- Operating plant and equipment.
- The following qualifications and experience are considered advantageous for this role:
- Experience with operating weed sprayingequipment.
- Hold a current 'Chemcert' (Chemical Handling) qualification.
- Demonstrated experience equipmentincluding operating out-front mowers.
SALARY& EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
- 2x Permanent full-time positions, working 38 hours per week
- This position is a Grade B, salary range is $62,649 p. a. with progression to $65,787 p. a. on demonstrated competencies, with performance progression to $73,343 p. a.
- Uniform is provided
- On the job training will be provided
