Our client, a prominent national agency dedicated to disability services, is seeking an EL1 Assistant Director for Cultural Safety Learning. This significant role involves leading the design and implementation of culturally safe training, learning, and workplace capability development across the organisation.

The successful candidate will bring expertise in project and program management, ensuring initiatives are planned, monitored, and delivered on time to meet strategic goals. You will drive work that incorporates risk and governance standards while fostering genuine partnerships and co-design approaches with First Nations peoples, communities, organisations, and leaders to deliver culturally safe outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading complex training programs aligned with strategic agency objectives
  • Building trusted relationships and partnerships with First Nations stakeholders

The role offers a hybrid working arrangement and demands strong leadership and communication skills, alongside the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous settings.

Desirable qualifications and experience include working knowledge of First Nations organisations, relevant education and training expertise (such as Certificate IV in Training and Assessment), and an understanding of the policy environment related to disability and Indigenous affairs.
