Reporting to the Oceania Risk Management and Independence Leader, you will be responsible for managing EY Oceania's ethics programme and supporting its ongoing development and continuous improvement.

The role provides coordination and oversight of ethics hotline, conduct reporting and whistleblower matters, supports investigations and follow-up activities, and assists in the delivery of communications, learning, reporting and governance activities that reinforce the EY Global Code of Conduct. This is a hybrid position and can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia or New Zealand. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Manage EY Oceania's ethics program, including its ongoing implementation and continuous improvement of EY Oceania's ethics program by translating the EY Global Code of Conduct into practical guidance, resources, communications, learning and awareness initiatives aligned with organisational and global priorities.
  • Deliver clear and timely reporting and briefings to senior leadership, analyse case and program data to identify trends and emerging risks, oversee relevant regulatory and disclosure responses, and maintain fit-for-purpose ethics policies, procedures and governance documentation.

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Demonstrated experience in ethics, compliance, investigations, employee relations, legal, governance, quality improvement, risk management or a related field, ideally within professional services or another regulated environment.
  • Sound judgement, integrity and discretion when managing sensitive and confidential matters, with the ability to balance commerciality, best-practice principles and risk mitigation in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, influencing and problem-solving capability, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively, independently and collaboratively with senior leaders and challenging stakeholders.
  • Graduate or postgraduate qualifications in risk management, human resources, law, psychology, business or a related field, together with 10+ years' experience in related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, capability uplift and contributions to team culture.
  • Experience leading strategic initiatives and operational improvement programs, with a proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
