Trade Qualified and Second Class Sheet Metal Fabricators for an ongoing workshop-based opportunity in
Acacia Ridge , with a view to permanent employment.
What's on offer?
$42-$48 per hour casual, depending on experience.
Monday to Thursday
Friday
7am-1pm.
- Immediate start.
- Ongoing work with an early finish every Friday.
About the role
You’ll be working on the manufacture and fabrication of high-quality metal products and components, with precision, attention to detail and quality workmanship being critical.
Some projects involve components for the defence sector , so confidentiality and strict site procedures are extremely important.
Duties include
- MIG and TIG welding of aluminium components.
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings.
- Measuring, cutting, preparing and assembling materials.
- Checking finished products for accuracy and weld quality.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
- What you'll need
Proven MIG and TIG aluminium welding experience is essential.
- Previous sheet metal fabrication experience.
- A relevant trade qualification for the qualified position.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
- Reliability and commitment to ongoing work.
- Ability to follow safety, quality and confidentiality procedures.
Must supply your own welding helmet.
Before you start
Successful applicants will attend a site interview, workshop tour and practical weld test before receiving a job offer.
Applicants must also be able to successfully complete
- A police check.
- Regular drug and alcohol testing.
