About the Role
As Duty Manager, you’ll lead daily hotel operations in the absence of senior management, keeping guests happy, the Front Office team strong and the hotel running profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth coordination across departments.
- Lead and support the Front Office team, maintaining high service standards and guest satisfaction.
- Act as the primary contact for guest issues, resolving complaints professionally and promptly.
- Maximise room occupancy and revenue through effective rate and yield strategies.
- Ensure compliance with WH&S, security protocols and crisis management procedures.
- Support training, staff development and performance tracking.
- What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in hotel operations, particularly within Front Office.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage guest relations and resolve issues with professionalism.
- Financial acumen and understanding of yield management strategies.
- Familiarity with hotel systems, WH&S regulations and crisis protocols.
- A proactive, service-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
