Key Responsibilities
- Keep the kitchen, equipment, utensils and work areas clean, tidy and sanitised throughout each shift
- Wash dishes, cookware, glassware and cutlery promptly, keeping the kitchen stocked with clean items
- Support chefs with basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling and chopping produce
- Receive, unpack and store deliveries correctly, rotating stock and following food safety standards
- Follow all food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures
- Manage waste and recycling, and keep storerooms, coolrooms and back of house areas organised
- What You'll Bring
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to jump in wherever the team needs you
- Availability to work casual shifts, including weekends, evenings and public holidays
- Previous kitchen hand or hospitality experience is preferred, but not essential as training is provided
- A good understanding of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, or a keen willingness to learn
- Ability to stay on your feet, work at pace and lift and carry as required
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Right to work in Australia
