Key responsibilities
- Greet, seat and welcome guests with genuine hospitality
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, including special requests and dietary needs
- Prepare and serve drinks from the bar, including coffee, cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic options, to presentation standards
- Serve food and beverages promptly and to presentation standards
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve any concerns
- Maintain clean, organised service and bar areas, including clearing and resetting tables
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar team to ensure timely and accurate service
- Process payments and handle transactions accurately
- Promote and upsell menu items, specials and beverages
- Respond to guest requests and provide helpful, attentive service
- Serve alcohol responsibly and follow all safety, hygiene and health regulations
- Work flexibly across AM and PM shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays
What you'll bring
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role, including bar experience
- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate, or willingness to obtain one
- Flexibility to work both AM and PM shifts, including early starts
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift items as required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing needs
- A reliable, positive and committed approach to delivering high quality service
