About the company/role:
Plastics manufacturing company based in the Southeast suburbs of Melbourne seeking a QC Officer to join the team on afternoon shift (3pm-11pm). Casual contract, full-time hours (Monday-Friday) with potential to go permanent. Immediate start ideal for candidates looking to join QC in a technical environment that is not a traditional laboratory.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Monitoring production processes through routine physical QC testing and visual inspections of products
- Ensuring GMP standards are maintained within the production area
- Reviewing, updating and writing relevant documentation
- Assisting in resolving customer complaints
- Data entry into Microsoft Excel and SAP
- Liaising with internal stakeholders
Skills/experience required:
- Tertiary education in Science or Engineering is ideal
- Previous QC experience in food or plastics manufacturing environment
- Previous experience with injection moulding machines/products is highly advantageous
- Good knowledge of GMP standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong initiative
