- Join a growing environmental testing laboratory supporting a broad range of environmental monitoring and analytical chemistry services.
- Seeking an experienced Analytical Chemistwith strong GC and LC instrumentation experience to support routine environmental testing and laboratory operations.
- Permanent full time opportunity
- Monday to Friday with standard working hours
Duties:
- Perform sample preparation and analysis of environmental samples
- Operate, calibrate, maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation including GC, GC-MS, LC and LC-MS/MS systems.
- Process analytical data, perform calculations and review quality control results.
- Monitor analytical performance and investigate quality control issues where required.
- Maintain accurate laboratory documentation in accordance with quality management system requirements.
- Support method validation, verification and implementation of new analytical techniques.
- Contribute to laboratory efficiency initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with laboratory teams to achieve quality standards and turnaround time objectives.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures, ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and regulatory standards.
About You:
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Similar industrial analytical laboratory experience with strong hands-on GC, GC-MS, LC and/or LC-MS/MS experience is essential.
- Previous experience working within an environmental testing laboratory is highly regarded.
- Experience operating within an ISO/IEC 17025 quality management system, ideally within a NATA-accredited laboratory.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting, problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced laboratory environment.
