What’s the opportunity? We’ve boldly reimagined our future at Mungari. There’s now an opportunity for an Underground Shift Supervisor who wants to grow with us and lead crews in an operation that’s building momentum. This role is for a strong underground leader who wants to help shape how underground mining runs at Mungari.
Based at our Mungari Operations and reporting to the Underground Superintendent, you’ll:
- Lead and supervise underground crews to safely achieve production targets across development activities
- Plan and execute the 24-hour operational plan, adjusting in real time to keep things moving
- Monitor performance, identify delays, and drive practical solutions to keep production on track
- Set the standard on safety by running pre-starts, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all requirements
- Own shift reporting, including production results, delays, and incident management
- Lead small crews day-to-day, allocate work, hold people accountable, and lift standards
- Coach and develop your team to strengthen capability and build a high-performing crew
- Challenge behaviours and influence positive change in culture, attitude, and performance across the shift

Does this sound like you? You’re an experienced underground miner who has already proven to lead crews and take ownership of a shift. You don’t sit back and observe; you step in, set the tone, and drive outcomes. To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Western Australia Underground Shift Supervisor Ticket
- Strong underground mining experience (minimum ~7 years)
- Exposure to continuous improvement or culture change initiatives
- Previous supervisory or strong step-up leadership experience
- A practical understanding of underground development, equipment, and operational requirements
- The ability to plan, prioritise, and keep a crew aligned to production goals
- A strong safety mindset — you lead it, enforce it, and live it
- Clear, direct communication and the confidence to have tough conversations
- A genuine drive to influence culture, build team cohesion, and improve attitudes on shift
