Senior Business Analyst – CRS / FATCA in Sydney

Sydney Full-Time On-site

About the opportunity

A large financial services organisation is uplifting how it meets its Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and FATCA obligations. It’s a well-funded program with strong executive backing, and the work feeds straight into the organisation’s reporting to the ATO.

They need a Senior Business Analyst who already understands CRS and FATCA. You’ll start adding value straight away, not spend months learning the regulations.

Why this role

  • 12 months of meaningful work on a regulatory program
  • Hands-on role at the centre of business, technology and tax/compliance teams
  • $950 per day + super
  • Sydney-based

What you’ll be doing

  • Running workshops with tax, compliance, operations and technology teams to define requirements
  • Translating CRS and FATCA rules into clear business and system requirements
  • Source-to-target data mapping and defining the data feeds that support reporting
  • Documenting current and future state processes, including customer due diligence, entity classification and reporting
  • Working with vendors and delivery teams to make sure the solution matches the regulations
  • Supporting testing, defect triage and implementation

What you’ll need

  • Recent, hands-on CRS/FATCA experience (2022 onwards). This is essential. We’re looking for people who have done the analysis and delivery work themselves, not just had high-level exposure.
  • Senior BA experience in banking, wealth, superannuation or insurance
  • Strong data analysis skills, including data mapping, data feeds and system integrations
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders across business and technology
  • Experience in Agile and/or Waterfall delivery
