The Position
As a key member of our village catering team, you'll prepare high-quality, buffet-style meals for breakfast, crib lunch, dinner, and desserts. You'll work alongside a supportive team of chefs, kitchen utilities, and dining room staff to deliver outstanding food and service for residents.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and serving bulk buffet-style meals with consistency and quality
- Maintaining safe food handling and workplace safety standards
- Managing stock efficiently to minimise wastage
- Providing guidance and support to the broader kitchen team
- Contributing to a positive workplace culture through teamwork, flexibility, and customer focus
The Person
To be successful, you'll bring:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
- Proven experience in bulk or buffet-style catering
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety compliance
