Imagine spending your working days surrounded by nature, curious children, muddy boots, open spaces and endless opportunities for discovery! We're looking for a passionate, enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Mayfield Nature Kindergarten, part of the Eskay Kids family.

Nestled on a beautiful 155-acre rural property in the Ipswich region, Mayfield is a small, 27-place kindergarten that has achieved an Exceeding National Quality Standard rating. We're proud of the work we do, the relationships we build and the childhood experiences we provide.

What we offer

• Flexible working arrangements – We understand that life happens outside of work and are open to discussing days that suit you and our service.

• Family-friendly operating hours – Our centre is open from 7:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. No 6am starts or 6:30pm finishes!

• Permanent or casual opportunities – We're open to different employment arrangements for the right educator.

• Professional development – Employer-funded opportunities to continue learning, developing and growing in your career.

• An Exceeding-rated service – Be part of a team committed to providing exceptional early childhood experiences.

A little about Mayfield

At Mayfield, we believe childhood should be filled with wonder, exploration, connection and joy. Our philosophy is genuinely child-led and relationship-focused. We embrace outdoor play, flexible routines, respectful caregiving and meaningful learning experiences that grow from children's interests.

We believe children are capable, competent and curious, and that some of the most valuable learning happens when we give them the time and freedom to explore. We're not about endless adult-directed activities or picture-perfect craft. We're about real experiences, genuine relationships and allowing children to be children.

Who we're looking for

We'd love to hear from educators who:

• Hold a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an accepted equivalent.

• Are warm, nurturing, reliable and enthusiastic.

• Love the outdoors and aren't afraid of a little dirt, mud or adventure!

• Value respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues.

• Believe in children's capabilities and the importance of child-led play.

• Enjoy working collaboratively, sharing ideas and contributing to a positive team culture.

• Hold or are eligible to obtain a Queensland Blue Card and meet the requirements to work in an early childhood service.

Whether you're an experienced educator looking for a change or someone earlier in their career who's excited to grow, we'd love to hear from you.

More opportunities with Eskay Kids

We also have an educator vacancy at our sister service, Eskay Kids Karana Downs, another Exceeding-rated early childhood centre. If Karana Downs is a more convenient location, please mention this in your application.
