We are looking for a reliable HVAC Trade Assistant to help our technicians deliver safe, tidy and high-quality heating, ventilation and air conditioning work.
You will assist with installation and maintenance tasks and keep jobs moving while following instructions and site procedures.
The role suits someone with practical aptitude who is after a friendly, challenging and safe work environment.
What you will do
- · Assist qualified HVAC technicians with installation, servicing and project work across our sites.
- · Load, unload, move and organise equipment, ductwork, pipework, fittings and consumables; check materials against job requirements.
- · Some regional travel is required. Enginuity covers accommodation and living away allowance.
- · Prepare work areas, protect surrounding surfaces, set up tools and maintain a clean, safe work zone.
- · Help measure, mark, cut and secure materials, and support the fitting of brackets, ducting, grilles, pipework and equipment as directed.
- · Assist with equipment positioning, basic assembly and preparation for testing or commissioning under supervision.
- · Use hand and power tools safely within your training and authorisation; maintain and return tools and equipment.
- · Follow SWMS, permits, site access requirements and directions from the supervisor; wear required PPE and report hazards, incidents or damage promptly.
What you will bring
- · Construction or trade assistant experience is an advantage; HVAC, mechanical, electrical or building services exposure is desirable.
- · A current White Card and a current driver license.
- · Practical skills with basic hand and power tools, or the willingness to learn their safe use.
- · Ability to follow instructions, work well in a team and communicate clearly with technicians, supervisors and site contacts.
- · Reliable attendance, a safety-first attitude, attention to detail and pride in leaving work areas clean.
- · Ability to carry out the physical requirements of the role, including lifting, carrying, standing, climbing ladders
