This brand is a well-established global OEM, products and service provider of critical products used predominantly in the power storage and generation sectors. Their main customer base typically exists within the data centre, renewable energy (BESS, batteries & solar), mining and industrial sectors. Our customer is also part of a larger group of companies that are recognised as a global player in the power generation industry.
Due to a fast start and a full order book, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Service Manager to lead the planning, installation, commissioning and operational safety of the business across Australia.
Role:
- Planning, installation, commissioning of loadbanks, transformers and other ancillary equipment on customer sites.
- Initial development and adherence of safety standards and procedures including SWMS, JSA etc.
- Ensure that all equipment is serviced, maintained, verified and available for rapid deployment to customer sites.
- Act as the technical authority for the team regarding troubleshooting, faults, breakdowns and repairs.
- Deliver high level of customer service and satisfaction.
- Mentor the technical team to create a high performance culture.
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Electrical Trade background with an A Grade Electrical Licence is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of power, diesel generators, BESS/batteries, transformers or heavy industrial environments.
- Previous service or operational management or leadership experience in the electrical industry, ideally leading teams in the field.
- Previous experience developing safe work procedures, SWMS, JSA's, SOP's and other safety or environmental procedures.
- Be prepared to travel and understand the demands of a commissioning management role. (Site travel is limited but expected from time to time).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to consult to your clients on technical issues.
- Honest and reliable in all facets of your work.
