I'm partnering with a private equity backed IPP that is growing quickly through acquisitions. It already has an operating, contracted project in its portfolio and a pipeline of more than a gigawatt behind it. It is also looking at new energy technologies, data centre partnerships and opportunities across both the NEM and the WEM. The team is busy with live deals and is hiring an Investment Associate to be the analytical engine room of the investment team.
What you'll do:
- Build financial models from scratch and value acquisition and development opportunities
- Run due diligence with technical, legal and grid advisers, and turn the findings into clear recommendations
- Work with market and revenue advisers to turn forecasts into inputs the models can rely on
- Draft investment committee papers and support financing and portfolio reporting
- Lead how the team uses AI in its analysis, from data rooms to modelling to automating recurring work
What they're looking for:
- Around two to four years of experience
- Strong modelling skills and an interest in owning the investment case, not just advising on it
- Comfort in a fast-paced team with several deals running at once
- An open mind on background: Big 4 deals, M&A advisory, debt advisory, engineering and energy market analysis all work
- Real fluency with AI tools. Python or Power BI is a bonus
Why it's worth a look:
- Live transactions from day one, in a team small enough that your work is seen
- A principal seat early in your career
- Plenty of room to grow as the platform expands into new technologies and markets
- A competitive package for the right person. Visa sponsorship can be considered, and the team would ideally like someone to start by December 2026
