In this role, you’ll be a champion for team member care, ensuring that injured team members receive empathetic, proactive support while navigating their recovery. You will work directly with store and venue leaders, state operational managers, insurers, and external care providers to build efficient, recovery-focused claims strategies.
Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Oversee workers’ compensation claims and design comprehensive, tailored return-to-work plans that prioritize care and a safe return to substantive roles.
- Act as a trusted partner and specialist advisor to State, Area, and Store/Venue Managers on injury management, workers' compensation processes, and employer responsibilities.
- Collaborate with insurers, third-party providers, regulators, and panel law firms to drive proactive claims strategies and manage premium impacts.
- Work alongside our Safety & Risk Managers to analyse injury data, enhance injury management strategies, and foster safe working systems.
- Stay up-to-date with WA workers' compensation legislation, assist with self-insurance audits, and conduct internal compliance reviews to ensure best practices.
- Assist leaders in establishing support systems for non-work-related injuries and partner with the People Team when complex role adjustments are needed.
Qualifications Now let’s talk about you:
- Proven experience in Return to Work (RTW) coordination, injury management, and WA workers' compensation legislation.
- Knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Codes of Practice.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute safety improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills to articulate key strategies clearly.
- Apply strategic planning principles to align injury management goals with broader business objectives.
- Facilitate interactive group training and educational workshops.
- Utilize data analysis to build structured action plans and drive successful implementation.
- Engage stakeholders and coach leaders to deliver high-performing return-to-work outcomes.
Nice to Haves:
- Qualifications in Allied Health (Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology) or WHS (Cert IV minimum).
- Experience or training in Mental Health First Aid, ICAM incident investigation, or Hazard Management principles.
The benefits are good too!
- We offer hybrid ways of working.
- An exclusive discount card for our ALH Hotels pubs & accommodation, BWS, Dan Murphy’s and other Endeavour Group brands.
- Through our partnership with Woolworths, you'll also enjoy discounts at Woolies supermarkets and BIG W.
