If you’re an Associate Geochemist eager to contribute to and lead interesting projects across Australia and Canada, EMM is the place for you. We offer flexibility and hybrid working options, with roles based in Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, Perth.
In this role, you will:
- Provide technical support and leadership on environmental assessment and management projects across Australia & Canada, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues, communicating high-quality outcomes effectively.
- Work on diverse projects in mining, renewables, and infrastructure, with international impact.
- Receive support from specialist teams and leaders committed to your success.

What you will bring:
- A degree in chemistry, geology, environmental/earth science, or related fields, with a background in geochemistry or hydrogeochemistry.
- Proven expertise in geochemistry/hydrogeochemistry and understanding of regulatory requirements in Australia, with experience in geochemical risks in mining and renewables projects.
- Experience with geochemical and water quality modelling, proficiency in software like GoldSim, Geochemist Workbench, PHREEQC, or Excel/VBA, and a desire to develop these skills.
- A passion for mentoring early-career specialists.
- Interest in client liaison and project management, working within deadlines and budgets.
- Ability to produce high-quality technical reports and communicate complex results clearly.
- Respect, integrity, and humility to work collaboratively and ethically.
