We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst for an initial 3 month contract to assist an AI business case.
This position will require you to translate complex technical and legislative problems into defensible investment narratives, build ROI and cost‑benefit models, validate assumptions with stakeholders, and produce Board / Treasury ready decision packs.
Key responsibilities
- Develop business cases aligned to investment frameworks.
• Deliver ROI and cost‑benefit models
- Define cost estimates (technology, data, people, vendors), resource requirements and delivery assumptions.
- Assess delivery feasibility, dependencies, risks and mitigation strategies.
- Design KPIs and a benefits realisation approach with measurement plans.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and validate assumptions with sponsors, policy and delivery teams.
- Produce executive summaries and decision packs suitable for Treasury, Boards and Steering Committees.
- Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience developing business cases, investment cases or program justifications for federal / state government or large enterprises.
- Experience in digital, data or AI initiatives and familiarity with AI feasibility considerations.
- Strong capability in cost modelling, benefits quantification and sensitivity analysis.
- Proven experience structuring decision‑ready artefacts and presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Experience working with ambiguous or incomplete data and stakeholder‑driven inputs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex concepts into clear, defensible investment narratives.
