The role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Superintendent is responsible for managing the business accounting function.
The role is responsible for
- '¢ Controlling monthly dual currency accounting to ensure timely completion and reporting;
- '¢ Managing the Accounts Payable team;
- '¢ Managing, mentoring and developing the finance team;
- '¢ Reviewing monthly general ledger reconciliations;
- '¢ Leading FBT compliance and reporting;
- '¢ Preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts;
- '¢ Managing quarterly and annual external audits;
- '¢ Identifying opportunities to improve the finance and reporting functions; and
- '¢ Relieving the Finance Manager, as required.
- Selection criteria
CPA/CA qualified, you will need substantial experience working in a senior accounting role (including management/supervision of staff) and have a strong background in mining.
Knowledge of integrated accounting (ERP) systems, Pronto and Excel is required as well as knowledge of internal audit compliance procedures.
