Coilers Machine Operators – Night Shift / Day Shift Training

Roster: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Night Shift)
Training: Day shift, 8 AM – 4:00 PM, for approximately 2–3 months

We are currently seeking experienced Coilers Machine Operators to join our client’s team in Dandenong South. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable, safety-conscious individuals with machine operation experience who are looking for ongoing work.
Successful candidates will initially complete mandatory day-shift training for approximately 2–3 months, depending on their progress and competency, before transitioning to the night-shift roster.
Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation: Operate and monitor coiling machinery to ensure plastic hosing is wound evenly onto reels without tangling, twisting, or damage.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished coils to ensure correct dimensions, consistent tension, and compliance with quality standards.
- GMP Compliance: Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements and maintain high standards of product quality and hygiene.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all site safety procedures, wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a strong safety focus at all times.
- Basic Troubleshooting: Identify and address minor machine issues and make adjustments within the scope of your training and responsibilities.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in accordance with site requirements.
- Physical Duties: Stand for extended periods and safely lift some heavy materials, handle, or move moderate-to-heavy plastic coils as required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience operating coiling machinery or similar manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of, or experience working in accordance with, GMP requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- A sound understanding of workplace health and safety procedures.
- Ability to undertake 12-hour shifts and meet the physical demands of the role.
- Willingness to complete mandatory day-shift training for approximately 2–3 months before transitioning to night shift.
- A reliable, proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Shift Details
- Training Period: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Ongoing Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, following successful completion of training.
- Training Duration: Approximately 2–3 months, depending on individual progress and competency.
Pre-Employment Requirements
Successful applicants must be willing to complete any required pre-employment checks, which may include:
- A pre-employment medical assessment, including physical or functional assessments where required.
- A National Police Check.
- Verification of Australian working rights.
- Verification of relevant licences, tickets and qualifications.
- Hearing Test is MUST!
- Any additional client-specific safety and site requirements.
