Deployment Project Manager (H/F/X) in Brisbane

As part of a potential international programme to develop satellite telecommunications infrastructure, our client is looking for a Deployment Project Manager to oversee the deployment of a strategic site near Brisbane, Australia. The project involves developing a mini-teleport site, comprising a technical building and at least three satellite antenna systems. You will act as the client's representative, steering the companies working on site and ensuring that cost, schedule, quality and safety objectives are met.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project phases, from site preparation through to infrastructure installation and commissioning.
• Build and track the overall schedule, milestones and action plans.
• Monitor costs, schedule, quality and risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate construction companies, subcontractors and technical contributors.
• Supervise civil works, foundations, concrete and construction of the technical building.
• Coordinate the installation of antennas and telecom equipment, and manage the interfaces between work packages.
• Represent the client towards contractors and the General Contractor, and verify that the work complies with drawings, technical specifications, contractual requirements and safety rules.
• Contribute to change management, punch lists and acceptance of the works.
• Coordinate testing, acceptance and commissioning, and ensure the documentation needed to operate the site is handed over.
• Provide regular reporting to the project teams and management.

What We Are Looking For

• Around 5 to 10 years of experience managing deployment projects for infrastructure, telecom sites or comparable industrial projects.
• Proven experience leading works and coordinating several companies or subcontractors, as a representative of the project owner, the client or the principal.
• Good understanding of civil works and technical infrastructure, with the ability to read drawings and coordinate interfaces.
• Command of MS Project, Primavera P6 or equivalent, and of budget control, risk management and contract management.
• Awareness of HSE requirements, quality and compliance of the works.
• Experience in satellite infrastructure, earth stations, antenna systems or telecommunications networks is appreciated.
• Leadership, autonomy, communication skills and rigour, with the ability to work in an international environment.
• Fluent professional English, both spoken and written.
