Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Bus Drivers to join our educational institution in Sydney, New South Wales.
This casual role is essential for ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students to and from school and various educational events.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to child safety and excellent customer service skills, contributing to a positive experience for our students and their families.
Responsibilities
- Operate the bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Transport students to and from school and educational events, ensuring punctuality.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to ensure it is in safe working condition.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment for students.
- Assist students in boarding and alighting the bus, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding transportation schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues to the appropriate authorities promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Australian driver's licence with a minimum of a light rigid (LR) classification.
- Current Working with Children Checks
- Experience as a bus driver or in a similar role, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage student behaviour and ensure a safe environment.
- First Aid certification is desirable but not mandatory.
- Flexibility to work casual hours, including early mornings and late afternoons.
