Build your recruitment career inside one of the most exciting areas of the market! Ecommerce Recruitment (ECR) works with high growth D2C and consumer brands across Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada to help them find exceptional people. Founded by Davie Fogarty as part of the broader Davie Group, ECR has access to an extensive founder and operator network, including The Daily Mentor community of more than 1,000 D2C businesses globally. We are growing, and we are looking for a Talent Coordinator who wants to build a serious career in recruitment.
This is not a role where you post jobs and wait for applicants. You will learn how to find great talent, understand different businesses, headhunt candidates, build talent maps, conduct screening calls and create strong pipelines across some of the fastest growing consumer brands in the market. You will work closely with our Head of Ecommerce Recruitment and Recruitment Consultant, with plenty of support while still being trusted with real responsibility.
What you will be doing:
- Finding and approaching great candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK and other sourcing channels
- Headhunting talent rather than relying only on applications
- Building talent maps and candidate pipelines for current and future searches
- Speaking with candidates to understand their experience, achievements, motivations and career goals
- Creating strong candidate summaries and helping build client shortlists
- Coordinating interviews and keeping candidates informed throughout the process
- Researching companies, industries and emerging talent pools
- Keeping candidate information and recruitment pipelines accurate in Recruiterflow and Monday.com
- Contributing ideas to improve our sourcing, screening, systems, AI prompts and recruitment processes
- Supporting ECR's LinkedIn presence and helping create content ideas
The role is about one thing: finding exceptional people and helping create exceptional matches between talent and businesses.
Who we are looking for:
You might already have experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or HR. Or you may come from another people focused or customer facing environment and have the curiosity, communication skills and drive to become great at recruitment. Experience using AI in your searches and tech savvy.
What matters most to us is that you:
- Enjoy talking to people and can build rapport quickly
- Have high attention to detail and at pace
- Are comfortable picking up the phone and approaching candidates directly
- Have strong research skills and enjoy finding people others might miss
- Can ask thoughtful questions and listen properly
- Are organised and comfortable managing multiple searches and priorities
- Care about details and follow through on what you say you will do
- Are confident learning new technology and systems
- Take ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Are curious, proactive and open to feedback
- Want to learn and improve
- Enjoy working as part of a small, ambitious team
Previous ecommerce, D2C or consumer recruitment experience would be useful, but it is not essential. We care more about your judgement, sourcing ability, curiosity and ability to quickly understand different businesses and candidate profiles.
Why ECR?
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants exposure beyond one company or one type of role. You will work across different businesses, functions and seniority levels, while developing genuine capability in headhunting, market mapping, sourcing and candidate assessment. You will also get:
- Exposure to high growth D2C and consumer brands across Australia, New Zealand, the US and Canada
- Access to an incredible network of founders, operators and ecommerce businesses
- Hands on development from experienced recruiters
- Ongoing training and development
- Hybrid working from our Southbank office
- Team events and social initiatives
- Product discounts across The Oodie
The opportunity is especially suited to someone who wants to learn recruitment properly, build commercial confidence and grow with ECR as the business grows.
Be careful - Donโt provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs. Don't transfer any money or complete suspicious online surveys. If you see something suspicious, report this job ad.
