Following an internal promotion, we're looking for our next Video Editor to join the team.
We're looking for a Video Editor who can turn raw footage into scroll-stopping content that performs.
Based in our Newcastle office and working closely with our Content Manager, you'll be creating high-quality, engaging short-form video content for Ecommerce Equation's Coaches across Meta, Tik Tok, You Tube and Linked In.
This is an entry-level role perfect for someone hungry to turn their content career professional.
If you're a social media native who lives and breathes platforms, can spot the gold in long-form content, and wants to master social content creation, we want to hear from you.
You'll take ownership of the editing process from start to finish, working directly with our Coaches to coordinate footage, turn ideas into engaging videos and deliver polished content that's ready to publish.
What you'll do
- Transform raw footage into polished, ready-to-publish videos with tight pacing, strong hooks and platform-optimised outputs
- Edit content across multiple formats (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) for Meta, Tik Tok, You Tube and Linked In
- Work closely with our Content Manager to bring creative briefs and content ideas to life
- Coordinate directly with Ecommerce Equation Coaches to collect raw footage and ensure content is delivered in line with their posting schedules
- Communicate with Coaches via Slack, independently managing feedback and revisions to get content ready to publish
- Apply captions, trending sounds, licensed music, sound effects and stock footage to enhance storytelling
- Adapt content for different platforms and audiences, tailoring pacing, structure and tone
- Create content designed to maximise watch time, engagement and conversions
- Review feedback and performance analytics to continuously improve your edits
- Stay ahead of social media trends, editing styles and viral formats, bringing fresh ideas to the table
- Recommend new approaches to hooks, storytelling and visual execution that can lift content performance
- Keep projects organised with consistent naming conventions, clear folder structures and accessible files in shared drives
- Manage your workload independently, delivering all assets on time and flagging any blockers early
- What you'll bring
- You're a social media native. You live and breathe social, know what's trending, what sounds are taking off and can demonstrate how you've created engaging content
- A strong portfolio or social media account showcasing your video editing skills and creativity
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and native editing software like Tik Tok or Instagram Edits
- You can review long-form recordings, spot the best moments and turn them into engaging short-form videos without step-by-step direction
- Skilled in adding captions and trending sounds that enhance storytelling
- A strong eye for pacing, composition, visual detail and picking attention-grabbing shots
- Ability to edit for speed, retention and engagement while maintaining brand tone and consistency
- Experience optimising content for different aspect ratios and platform requirements
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and execute with minimal direction
- Highly organised with excellent time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and confidence working directly with internal creators to coordinate content and manage feedback
- Comfortable working autonomously while maintaining close communication with the Content Manager and wider Marketing Team
- You bring energy, initiative and creativity to every edit, keeping the process fast and fun
- You're obsessed with getting better. You study creators, watch breakdowns and test what you learn. You want to master social content, not just make it.
