A leading national firm has an opening for an experienced paralegal in its Sydney property team. The team acts for private and institutional clients on major property transactions, development projects and leasing portfolios.
What makes this different?
You'll work directly with a Partner well established in commercial property. He is known for strong negotiation skills, commercial advice and quick turnaround, and clients often bring him in on high value, time sensitive deals. Clientele include major property developers, shopping centre operators, private client groups, high profile individuals, and local and state government agencies. As a result, you'll work on a broader mix of matters than most property teams offer, including:
- Acquisitions, sales and leasing of commercial, industrial and residential property
- Property development matters from start to finish
- Government land matters, including compulsory acquisitions
What you'll do:
- Prepare and review contracts for the sale of land (residential and commercial), negotiate amendments and complete sale and purchase contracts
- Manage settlements and registration of documents in PEXA workspaces
- Assist with preparing, reviewing and executing commercial and retail lease documents
You’ll bring:
- 2+ years as a paralegal in a property team within a law firm
- Strong working knowledge of commercial and retail leasing processes, and some prior exposure to PEXA
What's on offer:
You'll be part of the team from day 1, working on the partner's own matters with direct client contact. The firm also offers study support, a wellbeing program and generous paid parental leave for those who stay on long term.
Note: Applications are open to law students provided they have at least 2 years of their degree remaining. No part-time or casual option available.
