The Ringwood Community Team is a multi-disciplinary team and provides specialist mental health assessment, formulation and evidence-based treatment to young people aged 4 to 25 presenting with complex mental health concerns and psychological distress. As an early career clinician, you will work as a clinical case manager and build skills to hold a small, designated case load to enable learning and development in real-life practice. This position is a two-year opportunity with the aim to develop the skills and readiness to apply for Grade 3 clinician roles towards the end of the program.

- Undertaking Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention plans to enable recovery and participation in daily life.
- Participating in team-based clinical reviews, reflective practice and supervision.
What you’ll bring:
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, Australian Health Practitioners Registration Agency.
- Relevant theoretical knowledge, skills and/or experience in the provision of evidence-based occupational therapy assessment and interventions in a mental health setting.
- A strong commitment to high-quality care.
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- High level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
What we offer:
- Investment in your career through continuous learning, mentoring, professional development, and opportunities to progress into specialist, leadership or advanced practice pathways.
- Work-life balance with flexible working arrangements, study and professional development leave, and leave purchasing options.
- Wellbeing support through fitness programs, confidential employee assistance services for you and your family, and 24/7 access to a range of support resources.
- Financial incentives to help you make the most of your earnings, including salary packaging through Maxxia, novated leasing options, and employee discounts on health insurance, banking and more.
You must be eligible to work in Australia. Applications are reviewed as they are received, so we encourage early applications as the advertisement may close prior to the closing date. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to arrange an interview, and all applicants will be advised of the outcome of their application. Appointment to this position is subject to a satisfactory National Police Check, compliance with mandatory vaccination requirements, including annual influenza vaccination, and evidence of immunity to vaccine-preventable diseases where required.
