Operate and run the production lines within the plant to ensure quality of product is satisfactory.
Complete production paperwork.
Ensure production machinery is running smoothly.
Have a solid understanding of advanced manufacturing plants.
Manage and run two shifts and the associated production team.
Report directly to the operations manager.
Be able to conduct production line setup and changeovers.
Translate production plans into practical daily and weekly manufacturing schedules.
Monitor production performance, schedule adherence, labour efficiency and resolve production constraints.
Manage and drive continuous improvement projects within the plant.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience working within the fast moving consumer goods industry (min 5 years).
- Experience operationally working in a factory environment.
- Exceptional problem solving skills.
- Relevant mechanical / engineering background required.
- Forklift license a must.
- Understanding of how a production line operates.
- Ability to demonstrate managerial traits and qualities.
- Mixing/batching/blending experience advantageous.
