Part-Time Early Childhood Teacher 12 months Maternity Leave Position

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at our preschool from Term 1 2027 for three (3) days a week. This is a unique opportunity to join our team on a maternity leave contract for 12 months. We are looking for an Early Childhood Teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality early childhood education and who is passionate about creating engaging, meaningful and enriching learning experiences that inspire children to learn, grow and thrive.
East Lismore Community Preschool is a not for profit preschool and we are licenced for 50 children a day . Our preschool supports children 3-5 years. In 2027 we are going to be operating from our brand new purpose built preschool , overlooking beautiful parklands.
To be successful, applicants will need to demonstrate that you meet the following criteria :
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent
2 years experience working in an Early Childhood Setting
Proficient Teacher Accreditation
Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, with a diverse range of parents, carers and their children
Current First Aid and Asthma and Anaphylaxis training
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Criminal History Check (NCHC)
Completed Mandatory Child Safety Training (Geccko)
Completed Child Protection Training CHCPRT026
A demonstrated passion for innovative practices
Strong understanding of the EYLF and NQF
