Eagles The Plumbing Shop is looking for an experienced trade sales professional to join our team, based at our Kings Park branch near Blacktown. We’re an independent, family-owned plumbing merchant that has been supplying the trade for almost 50 years. As a long-standing member of PlumbingPlus, we offer a broad range of leading brands across plumbing, drainage, hot water, civil, bathroom, pool and associated trade products.

We're looking for someone who understands the plumbing trade, enjoys getting out and talking to customers, and knows that successful trade sales is about relationships, service, product knowledge and doing what you say you'll do.

The role:

• Based from Kings Park, you'll work across our Sydney branch network and closely with our Branch Managers, Managing Director and wider sales team.
• You'll inherit an established customer base to develop, while also having plenty of opportunity to identify and win new business across our Sydney market.
• Managing and developing a portfolio of existing trade customers.
• Identifying and winning new customers and new business opportunities.
• From the branch and offsite, you'll be meeting customers face-to-face, and building strong, long-term relationships with plumbers, contractors and other trade customers.
• You'll look for upcoming opportunities and product requirements, prepare quotes, and build your sales pipeline.
• You'll introduce customers to new product opportunities, whilst monitoring your sales channel, customer activity and account performance.
• You'll have the autonomy to manage your customer base and activity, backed by an experienced branch and management team.

About you:

• We're looking for someone with genuine knowledge of the plumbing or trade supplies market and a track record in sales and new business.
• You'll have experience in plumbing supplies, trade distribution or a closely related industry, with solid plumbing product and industry knowledge.
• You will need previous sales, account management or business development experience, a proven ability to build and maintain strong trade customer relationships, and be confident developing new business as well as looking after established accounts.
• You'll need good organisation, administration and time-management skills, a robust commercial approach to pricing, margin and sales opportunities, and the ability to work independently while being part of a close-knit team.
• Plus good computer literacy and confidence using sales and business systems (familiarity with Frameworks would be advantageous), and a current driver's licence.

Above all, you'll be someone who enjoys dealing with trade customers, follows through on commitments and wants to build business rather than simply maintain a customer list.
