Our client is an established, family-owned multidisciplinary allied health provider in Newcastle, supporting children, adolescents and families through clinic-based and community therapy services. Based in Newcastle, the organisation has a team of approximately 70 staff across Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Behaviour Support and disability services. With a large, well-resourced clinic and an established multidisciplinary team, clinicians have access to the infrastructure, clinical resources and professional support needed to deliver quality therapy.

Why this Role

This role would suit an OT who enjoys paediatric therapy but wants the resources, clinical support and team structure of an established multidisciplinary provider. You will have access to:

  • Predominantly clinic-based caseload: Work from a large, established clinic rather than spending most of your week travelling between appointments
  • Salaries from: $80,000 to $115,000 + super + bonus incentives!
  • Multidisciplinary support: Work alongside Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Behaviour Support Practitioners
  • Established clinical resources: Access dedicated therapy spaces, assessment resources and established clinical infrastructure
  • Discipline-specific supervision: Ongoing clinical supervision and opportunities for consultation with experienced clinicians
  • Career development: Opportunities to build your paediatric clinical skills with support from an established senior clinical team
  • Growing adolescent caseload: Exposure to school-aged children and teenagers with a range of functional and developmental needs
  • Professional development: Access to ongoing professional education and multidisciplinary learning
  • Company vehicle access: Vehicle options available for community-based service delivery
  • Performance incentives: Bonus opportunities for clinicians performing above agreed KPI expectations

The team supports clients across the lifespan, although the majority of families currently access services for school-aged children. With an established senior clinical structure and a growing adolescent caseload, this is an opportunity for an Occupational Therapist looking to develop their paediatric skills within a supportive clinical environment.

About the Role

This is a predominantly clinic-based Paediatric Occupational Therapist position supporting children and adolescents with developmental, behavioural, learning and disability-related needs. Your week may include:

  • Providing individualised Occupational Therapy to school-aged children and adolescents
  • Supporting children with developmental disabilities, functional challenges and NDIS-funded therapy goals
  • Delivering assessments, intervention planning and ongoing therapy
  • Working primarily from the well-resourced Broadmeadow clinic
  • Undertaking school, home and community visits where clinically appropriate
  • Collaborating with Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners and Allied Health Assistants
  • Accessing discipline-specific supervision and multidisciplinary clinical consultation
  • Supporting families to build functional skills, independence and participation in everyday activities

The organisation welcomes Occupational Therapists across different experience levels.
