About Us:
Based in Beresfield, this window and door manufacturer is currently looking for a highly motivated, technically skilled individual to take ownership of their customers within the service department around the Newcastle region. Reporting to the Service Manager, your main duty will be to provide attention to detail with technical advice on window and door products that will exceed expectations to provide positive solutions. Each customer experience is different, and this position will involve you utilising your patience and maintenance skills to complete approximately 6 daily jobs of warranty repairs, service calls or identify general repairs in a customer-focused and proficient manner.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Analyse window and door faults, replace hardware (rollers, locks, handles, seals).
- Adjust aluminium systems and general service repairs of windows and doors.
- Handle basic hand-tools, power-tools, and measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret daily list of service calls and deal with customers face to face.
- Liaise with customers to ensure efficient after service or general repair support.
- Interact daily with the departments of service, manufacturing, or sales.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A background in the manufacturing, building, construction, or trade industry.
- Minimal supervision with a willingness to travel across the Hunter/Central Coast.
- Attention to detail and taking pride in the quality of your work.
- Worked on residential building sites under construction or established.
- You may be suitable if you are a Window Installer, Carpenter, Shopfitter, Joiner, Cabinet Maker (with installation experience), Handyman (commercial/residential maintenance), Maintenance Carpenter, Building Maintenance Officer, Facilities Maintenance Technician, or Construction Technician.
