THE ROLE
Join DXC as aSenior Azure Data Engineer to support a key customer’s data integration project. You will design, build and maintain Azure data pipelines, data warehouses and data marts that enable reliable reporting and informed business decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop ADF ETL/ELT pipelines, translating data models into reliable data warehouse and data mart solutions.
- Build metadata-driven data loading frameworks and maintain daily and nightly batch processes.
- Implement data quality, cleansing and validation controls in line with development standards.
- Develop and optimise SQL scripts and T-SQL stored procedures.
- Test, document and deploy solutions across development, SIT, UAT and production using Git and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and project specialists on requirements, design reviews and solution demonstrations.
ABOUT YOU
- At least five years’ recent hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and five years as an Azure ADF Data Engineer in data warehouse environments.
- Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, advanced SQL and T-SQL stored procedures.
- Proven experience with data warehouse and data mart design, data modelling and metadata-driven loading frameworks.
- Experience integrating data from files, databases and APIs, with robust data quality controls.
- Experience using Git and implementing CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps.
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience delivering significant projects across the full development lifecycle.
- Experience with Azure Logic Apps, dynamic data masking, Azure SQL security controls will be highly regarded.
