We are looking for a passionate and reliable Casual Chef to join the kitchen team at the Port Broughton Hotel. If you enjoy preparing quality food, working with a supportive team and delivering great guest experiences, we would love to hear from you.
The Role
- Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team, you will support food preparation and service in a busy pub environment.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and cooking meals to a consistently high standard;
- Supporting lunch, dinner, functions and busy service periods;
- Following recipes, portion control and presentation standards;
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen;
- Assisting with stock rotation, preparation lists and minimising food waste;
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams;
- Bringing a positive, practical and hands-on approach to every shift.
About You
- To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a pub, restaurant or fast-paced kitchen;
- A passion for quality food and great hospitality;
- Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills;
- The ability to remain calm and focused during busy service;
- Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene;
- Flexibility to work across a seven-day roster, including nights and weekends;
- A reliable work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
