What You’ll Be Doing
This is an exciting opportunity to step into a newly created Regulatory & Compliance Officer role with Selleys Group, providing dedicated regulatory, compliance, product stewardship and governance expertise across a diverse portfolio of products and businesses. Working closely with R&D, Safety & Sustainability, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Legal and external suppliers, you’ll become a trusted regulatory partner, helping ensure products, technical documentation, labelling and product stewardship activities meet regulatory requirements and DuluxGroup standards.
- Monitor regulatory changes across Australia and New Zealand and assess product impacts.
- Maintain SDS, classifications and compliance documentation.
- Review product labels, artwork, packaging and claims for compliance.
- Provide practical regulatory advice and partner with stakeholders to strengthen product stewardship and compliance.
You’ll also have the opportunity to improve regulatory processes, templates, document controls and governance, while supporting audit readiness and helping the business respond effectively to emerging regulatory requirements.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with the confidence to build relationships, influence stakeholders and appropriately challenge information where required. Ideally, you’ll bring:
- A degree in chemistry, chemical science, toxicology, environmental science, regulatory science or a related discipline.
- Experience in chemical-product regulation, product stewardship, SDS management, product safety or quality assurance.
- Working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand SDS, classification and labelling requirements.
- Experience working with formulated products, chemical raw materials and regulated product documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, practical advice.
- The ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities and confidently escalate issues.
Experience within adhesives, sealants, cleaning products, consumer products or industrial chemicals would be highly regarded, along with exposure to GHS classification, poison scheduling, dangerous goods, SDS authoring, regulatory affairs, auditing or laboratory quality systems.
