  • Building strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, consultants and the community to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to standard.
  • Developing your project and contract management capability, including cost estimating, scheduling, compliance and stakeholder engagement.
  • Learning on the job, supported by a collaborative engineering team, mentoring, and access to professional development and CPD opportunities.
  • Working on bigger, more complex projects than you'll typically find elsewhere, with the backing of a strong internal structure and experienced leaders.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline and demonstrated sound knowledge and experience in civil engineering project/contract delivery.
  • Ability to supervise and manage staff demonstrating good teamwork, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in project and contract management with the ability to organise and manage conflicting work priorities.
  • Well-developed report writing and communication skills.

We would also love you to have:

  • Local Government experience.
  • Post graduate qualifications.
  • Experience in managing the RMCC on Council's behalf and Transport for NSW contracts.
