Job Description

About the role

As a Speech Pathologist Team Leader or Senior Clinician at Down South Therapy, you will support children, adolescents, and adults to develop communication skills that are meaningful in their everyday lives, while also playing a key role in supporting and guiding other clinicians within the team.

You will work across a mix of environments, including our Vasse clinic, local schools, and community settings.

In addition to your clinical role, you will have the opportunity to mentor and support a small group of therapists or contribute as a senior clinician within the team, depending on your level of experience and interest.

This role also provides the opportunity to contribute to shaping the speech pathology service within our multidisciplinary team, including supporting clinical consistency, contributing to team development, and helping to guide service direction over time.

Your role will include:

  • Delivering both individual and group therapy
  • Working collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals
  • Developing and implementing individualized, functional therapy plans
  • Contributing to a transdisciplinary team approach
  • Providing supervision, mentoring, or clinical support to other therapists
  • Contributing to team learning, service development, and clinical initiatives

We structure caseloads and schedules intentionally, including location-based planning, to reduce travel demands and support a sustainable pace of work.

There is flexibility to shape your caseload and leadership contribution in line with your strengths and areas of interest.
