Grounds & Maintenance Gardener – Wholesale Nursery | Kalamunda
Domus Nursery | Hacketts Gully, near Kalamunda WA | Full-time (4 days considered) | $36–$44 per hour
A long-term role for an experienced gardener who takes pride in their work
Domus Nursery is an award-winning, family-owned plant production nursery near Kalamunda, supplying quality plants to retail and landscaping customers across WA.
We are looking for a motivated, hands-on person to take care of the grounds and property across our 30 acres of nursery and affiliated properties. You will run your own patch, set your own priorities and lead an assistant, in a varied outdoor role where your experience is valued.
What we offer
$36–$44 per hour, depending on experience
A full-time, long-term role (applicants wanting 4 days will be considered)

An assistant to support you, and you lead the work
4 weeks annual leave, with extended winter leave available
A close-knit, friendly team within a growing nursery of over 45 staff
Work autonomously to a monthly schedule combined with weekly projects
About the role
You will look after the grounds and general property maintenance across the nursery, including:
Weed spraying with Roundup and other herbicides, using an electric side-by-side vehicle and a knapsack
Garden pruning, hedging, planting and weeding
Irrigation maintenance, including pipe and solenoid repairs and checking sprinklers
Controlling ants and spiders with chemicals
Mowing lawns with ride-on mowers
Maintaining ponds
Repairs to general infrastructure such as fencing, sheds and growing bays
Using a tractor with loader bucket and a 1.5t forklift
Supervising and guiding your assistant
About you
You enjoy being active, love working around plants and are happy to jump between tasks as priorities change. You are approachable, professional and take pride in leaving the grounds looking great.
You will bring:
3–5 years' experience in garden maintenance or a similar role (preferred)
A good knowledge of garden maintenance
Irrigation experience, which is important for this role
Comfort using chemicals regularly and a wide range of small machinery
The ability to work autonomously, quickly and efficiently
A current forklift licence, or a willingness to gain one
Your own reliable transport, as we are away from public transport
A long-term outlook and a reliable, positive approach
Desirable: a ChemCert certificate.
