Dokotela is an Australian telehealth company providing psychiatry services to patients across Australia. We need a curious, careful analyst to help us get data out, make sure it's right, and turn it into reliable, automated reporting for our clients. This is a long-term casual role with flexible hours, suited to a postgraduate student, recent graduate, or experienced analyst seeking part-time flexibility.

Key responsibilities

  • Write and maintain SQL queries to extract data from our practice management system.
  • Turn recurring reports into standing queries: saved, tested queries that run on a schedule and produce the same report reliably each time.
  • Use AI tools and automation to speed up query writing, report production and data checks.
  • Help define reporting templates for our clients, and work with our developer to build them into our new platform.
  • Check results against doctors' diaries and work with our team to resolve discrepancies.
  • Document queries, data definitions and known data-quality issues so others can rely on them.
  • Answer ad hoc data questions from management.

About you

  • Solid SQL skills: joins, aggregations, subqueries, date handling.
  • Experience building automated or scheduled reporting, not just one-off queries.
  • Practical experience using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) to write, check or automate data work.
  • Experience defining what a report should contain: working out the right measures, definitions and layout with the people who use it.
  • Comfort with Excel or Google Sheets for checking and presenting results.
  • An eye for detail and ability to notice when a number looks wrong and follow it up.
  • Clear communication with non-technical colleagues, including clinicians and admin staff.
  • Availability to work on-site in Bondi Junction at least 1 day per week.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Flexible hours that work around study or other commitments.
  • Hands-on training and real responsibility in a growing healthcare company.
  • Work that directly improves how patients get care.
