- Position Summary
You’ll conduct regulated medicinal cannabis consultations with eligible patients across Australia through Doc Tel’s secure telehealth platform.
This role suits qualified practitioners who already hold relevant authorisation to prescribe medicinal cannabis under Australian law.
You’ll assess, manage, and monitor patients in accordance with GA and state regulations while maintaining clinical governance, documentation, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct telehealth consultations and assess patients for medicinal cannabis suitability.
- Prescribe in compliance with
- TGA Special Access Scheme (SAS) or
Authorised Prescriber requirements.
- Develop treatment plans, manage follow‑ups, and monitor clinical outcomes.
- Ensure documentation accuracy and adherence to governance and record‑keeping obligations.
- Provide evidence‑based, ethical care aligned with current best practices.
- Collaborate with Doc Tel’s governance and support teams to maintain safety and compliance.
Requirements
- Current registration with
AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner.
- Valid authority to prescribe medicinal cannabis (e. g.
- Authorised Prescriber or approved
SAS pathway ).
- Strong understanding of the legal and clinical frameworks governing cannabis prescribing.
- Experience in telehealth consultations preferred.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and ethical decision‑making skills.
