Our Client is searching for an experienced Forklift Driver who also holds a current MC Truck Licence for an immediate start. The position will involve a combination of forklift duties, truck driving and general yard/warehouse work, so I'm looking for someone who is comfortable getting hands-on and helping wherever required. Shift details:
- Monday to Friday
- 1:00pm - 9:00pm
- Additional overtime may be available as required
- Immediate start
The successful candidate will need to:
- Hold a valid Forklift Licence
- Hold a current and valid MC Truck Licence
- Have a good understanding of Dangerous Goods (DG) requirements
- Have an understanding of Mass Management and load compliance
- Be confident operating a forklift in a busy working environment
- Be comfortable driving an MC vehicle when required
- Be willing to get their hands dirty and assist with general yard duties
- Be experienced and confident using straps, ratchets, angles and other load restraint equipment to safely secure loads
- Have a strong focus on safety and following correct load restraint procedures
- Be reliable, punctual and flexible with the possibility of overtime
This role would suit someone who is happy to be hands-on rather than just sitting behind the wheel or operating a forklift. We need someone who is prepared to jump in, assist with loading/unloading, secure loads correctly and help keep things moving throughout the shift.
