To be successful working within Aged Care you will need to have completed a recent police check and have your shots up to date including the Flu jab. Position duties: Food Service Assistants are responsible for supporting the provision of high-quality catering services within aged care facilities. As a Food Services Assistant you will work as part of a team to provide meal services to residents. This includes:
- Perform basic food preparation
- Prepare basic meals (under supervision)
- Clean food preparation, kitchen equipment and eating areas
- Serving and delivery of meals
What you bring to this position:
- Food Safety Certificate Level I or II
- Previous experience working in an aged care environment
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately
- Demonstrated initiative and the capability to work with minimal supervision
