GP Registrar – Youth Health | North-West Melbourne
We are seeking a Medical Registrar with GP training to provide primary healthcare to young people within a specialist community-based care setting in Melbourne's north-west.
This is an opportunity to work with vulnerable young people, many of whom have experienced complex life circumstances and may have a range of physical health, mental health and psychosocial needs.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will provide general medical care, health assessments and ongoing support, helping young people access appropriate healthcare during an important period in their lives.
Position Details
- Location: North-West Melbourne
- Hours: 5 hours per day
- Days:4 days per week
- Rate: $150 per hour
About the Role
The work involves providing general primary healthcare to adolescents, with a varied clinical presentation that may include:
- General medical assessments and treatment.
- Mental health and wellbeing.
- Sexual and reproductive health.
- Alcohol and other drug-related health concerns.
Who We're Looking For
- Medical Registrar with GP training.
- Current AHPRA registration.
- An interest in adolescent health and working with vulnerable young people.
- Someone comfortable working with complex presentations and taking a compassionate, non-judgemental approach.
